WHAT IS A CSA
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a way local consumers can directly support local farmers by purchasing a share of the farms harvest in advance. This form of business gives us and our customers the opportunity to create a partnership that offers us both mutual benefits.
We offer three CSA options. You can purchase a vegetable CSA, Flower bouquet CSA, and a hybrid CSA where you receive the deepest discount with a vegetables and a flower bouquet,
These CSA’s will continually change throughout the seasons as the crops will change. A purchased CSA is for a month at a time so if your interested in more than one month at a time just purchase the number of months your interested in up to 3 months.
Benefits of becoming a CSA member with
Woodville Market Gardens
Fresh seasonal produce.
A CSA with us provides a selection of fresh seasonal produce or flowers that will always be fresh and recently harvested. This ensures higher nutritional values and a better tasting product without any herbicides and pesticides that would be found on store bought produce.
A way to support your local farm.
Being a CSA member helps sustain local agriculture, weather it’s with us or another local farm. It provides your local farmer with an income in exchange for fresh vegetables and flowers.
Environmental Benefits.
Buying local produce is a small way to reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation and logistics known to exist in the industry. Here at our farm we use sustainable and organic farming practices to grow our vegetables and flowers. Every aspect of our farm is done by hand, without the use of gas powered engines.
You receive variety and quality.
As a CSA member you’ll receive a diverse selection of fresh flowers and vegetables that will continually change throughout the growing seasons.
It’s a good way to connect with your actual food source.
Being a CSA member can deepen a connection between the consumer and the source of the food. Members can visit the farm and possibly participate in farm events and learn more about how their food and flowers are grown.
A CSA provides economic benefits to consumers and the farmer.
By paying up front you will receive a discount as compared to buying individual products from the farm stand or at the farmers market, and it can help us; the farmer, with cash flow to fund operations throughout the year.
